Company Overview
Kubernetes (K8s) is a container orchestration platform open-sourced by Google in 2014, built on over a decade of experience from Google's internal Borg and Omega cluster management systems. Designed by Joe Beda, Brendan Burns, and Craig McLuckie, Kubernetes was donated to the newly formed Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) in 2015 and became the CNCF's first graduated project in 2018.
