Company Overview

Workflow was developed by Workflow Inc. (co-founded by Ari Weinstein, Conrad Kramer, and Nick Frey). It was the most influential visual workflow automation app on iOS. Workflow's core concept was to let iOS users connect system functions, app capabilities, and web services into automated operation sequences through a drag-and-drop visual builder—no coding required.

In 2017, Workflow was acquired by Apple and became the foundation of Siri Shortcuts. The app featured over 200 pre-built action blocks covering scripting, networking, documents, media, location, calendar, and more.
