Founded in 2009 and headquartered in San Jose, California, USA, BlueJeans (BlueJeans Network) was a cloud video conferencing platform created by Krish Ramakrishnan and Alagu Periyannan, launched commercially in June 2011 and once serving more than 300,000 users. In April 2020, Verizon announced its acquisition of BlueJeans (approximately US$400 million), completing the deal in May 2020 and rebranding it as "BlueJeans by Verizon" within its unified communications business — an enterprise video conferencing solution in the Communication ecosystem.

Importantly, Verizon announced in August 2023 that it would shut down BlueJeans, and the service officially ceased on March 29, 2024.
